4. Dark
It was a debate what I was going to draw. Cale or Sudame? I had Sudame as a character years before I even knew who Cale was (I was only introduced to RW a year ago) and while I was tempted to do a good fanart of Cale I will forever love my original characters better. Plus Sudame's hotter so

Sudame is the God of Darkness from my manuscript The Legend of the Shengarikan, featured here with his Shadow Hounds. They aren't 'hounds' per se and are more like wolf-dragons in temperment and appearance. They are the ones that breathe shadow into the world, giving it shape and dimension.

I had a lot of fun painting this, I mean even more than normal. I somehow surpassed even what I had in my head for it which is amazing to me. I love how this turned out. Experimenting as usual and found a cool way to paint shadow. I took my time with this, working on it for a few hours here and there because I didn't want to rush it or burn myself out on it to where I would end up just slapping it together because I was tired of it and wanted a new project.

The palace in the background is the Hisui Kiba, the home of the gods. It isn't exactly a welcoming place and I wanted it to look mysterious, with clouds blocking part of it to symbolize how little the gods know about their own home. The culture is based off elements from various Asian ones (basically everything from various ones that I like put together ) so I kinda wanted this to have a traditional 'Asian' feel to it, with my own style mixed in.
